Context:

Most platforms have a binary approach when it comes to let users rate content (like/dislike). Yet we know that opinions are not binary. Opinions are a spectrum with multiple nuances.

Since Dailymotion positioning and values are based on inclusion and willingness to promote less radical conversations, we decided to explore a non binary approach by letting users rate content through a slider with several options.

Goal:

• We wanted to shift away from the simple like action.
• We want to achieve granularity of opinion
• we wanted a fun fresh way to like videos.
• It takes a bit more effort than the simple tap to like but it has a much more fun experience.
